Up for auction is a vintage My Child Doll from Mattel, made in the 1980s. I don’t know a lot about these dolls. She was a thrift store rescue that I hope to get to someone who can fix her up and restore her to her former glory. I believe she is the strawberry blonde doll, but she might be considered just a regular blonde.
This doll is TLC and will need some work. Her hair will need to be restyled, though it seems to be in good shape overall. Her cloth body and face could use some cleaning, especially on her left arm. I’m not super experienced removing stains from cloth dolls, so I thought I’d leave that to her new owner. There’s a little bit of pilling on the material of her face, but she still has a lot of good color on her cheeks and lips. Her “My Child” heart on her buns is a little worn. There are also a few rub marks on her eyes. Please see the pictures as they are a part of the description.
Her tag is super difficult to read, but it does appear to say “Made in Taiwan.” (See last picture.)

My home is smoke-free and pet friendly, although I am located in northern California, so because of the current fires in the area, I can’t guarantee my items won’t smell a little like fire smoke. I CAN guarantee they won’t smell like cigarette smoke, though.
