Presented here is a fabulous antique pickle castor. This has a cranberry glass insert,  it has a diamond quilted pattern with elaborate hand painted enamel florals, blue bellflowers on one side with a daisy and forget-me-nots on the other, no chips on the lip. The lid has an inner lip that fits securely inside the jar. The frame is very ornate with raised scrolls around the base and at the top. The frame is 11″ tall, 41/2″ wide. The jar is 4 1/2″ high with a cured shape, fits perfectly inside the frame. The frame is very sturdy silver plate metal, marked Van Bergher Silver Co., it has normal only minor tarnish. It has a fancy silver plate tong with scroll work in the center and  claw tips.
